(James 1:17) James lays out this truth simply and clearly for us, Father—every good gift we receive and experience in this life (and beyond) comes from You and You alone. You are the author and orchestrator of every good, lasting, meaningful blessing on this earth. You are a Good Father who gives good gifts to His children. Thank You for Your incredible generosity, grace, and love, Lord. It’s clear to me that ___ is one of those “good and perfect” gifts, Father. Through ___’s life, You’ve shown me Your love, Your mercy, Your forgiveness, Your grace, and Your encouragement. Through ___, You’ve given me a powerful picture of Your Son, Jesus, and You’ve blessed me with a companion with whom to share life’s highest highs, lowest lows, and everything in between. Thank You for ___, Lord. I know I am undeserving of any of Your gifts, but that makes me all the more grateful and thankful for this wonderful friend and relationship. Amen.
