(Colossians 3:15) Throughout Scripture—and Paul’s letters, in particular—gratitude and thankfulness are clear and emphasized themes. It’s no secret that You call Your followers to be grateful, Father—not just in obedience to You, but for our own good. As I’ve experienced throughout my years of life, when I’m truly acting out of gratitude and humility, life becomes so much more enjoyable, peaceful, and full of life. You want fullness of life for Your children, Father, and this is yet another example of that. When I honestly look around and assess my life, God, it is not difficult for me to “always be thankful.” You have blessed me well beyond what I deserve—and I know that, because of Your goodness, You will continue to do so. A clear example of that blessing is ___. Their friendship, support, and encouragement alone gives me reason to shout Your praises every day of my life. ___ has supported me through difficult times, shared my joy in the good times, and walked alongside me in the in-between times. I don’t deserve a friend like ___, Father, yet You have blessed my life incredibly through them. I don’t have the words to fully express my gratitude for ___, Lord—just, thank You. Amen.
