(John 1:12) For a number of reasons, Lord, ___ is wrestling with their identity. They’re struggling to see how they fit, where they belong, in a sea of individuals, professions, and life paths. In this moment, ___ is feeling lost—like they don’t have a place in this world—but according to Your truth, we know this is a lie from the Enemy. ___ is Your child, Father. Because of their commitment and decision to trust You completely and walk in the footsteps of Your Son, Jesus, we know You’ve declared ___ as Your beautiful child. Because of Your mercy, grace, and love, Lord, You’ve adopted ___ into Your family. Even when everything else fails them—their job, their friends, their family—___ still has a unique place and identity as Your child. That can never be taken away. Father, remind ___ of that beautiful truth. Fill their mind with a picture of You, their Father, lovingly embracing them as Your child. Through Your Holy Spirit, Lord, empower ___ to walk in their new identity, fully confident in who they are because of who You’ve made them to be. May _________’s life be defined by their identity as a child of the King. Amen.
