(Romans 15:2) Father, thank You for the way You designed families and for the gift of parenting. It is a blessing for a mother to have a mini-me as a daughter and a father to have a mini-me as a son. Open (mom)’s and (dad)’s eyes to see the gifts and talents You have given their children. Open their spiritual eyes and reveal the calling You have placed on their child’s life. The goal of parenting is to raise good members of society, but even more so to raise beautiful citizens of Heaven. All the trials, triumphs, and lessons (mom) and (dad) went through You have turned into tools to help them teach, nurture, and help mature their children. I pray throughout their child’s life (mom) and (dad) see the fruits of all of their labor and sacrifice as they see them go deeper into their relationship with You, their Heavenly Father. Amen.
