(John 14:18) My Rock and my Salvation, in You shall I find comfort. ___ is in need of a shoulder to lean on. I pray that ___ knows they can lean on You. You are not so far away that You are unreachable. When we come to You, You are always there for us. The loss of a loved can be so overwhelming. We miss our friend. We miss our family member. We miss our church member. We miss our co-worker. It is all so real! It cuts so deep and hurts so bad. The strong urge to give up and give in is so tempting. The emotions are so tumultuous. Yet, in Christ, we can overcome these failings. We can overcome this depression. We can overcome this grief. Not that these feelings are not real or even warranted; they are true. ___ has the right to their emotions, to want to blow up, to want to toss in the towel, to throw their hands up in defeat. But, we must realize that the enemy wants to destroy us, to beat us down, to make us feel worthless. However, just as our loved one has moved to a better home, it is still our journey to make. We cannot give in. We cannot give up. We must continue onward. Only in You, Lord, may ___ receive the strength required to face another day. Until that time comes, when they can be together again with their loved one, may ___ try hard to find peace and comfort in Your presence. May they lean on Your shoulders and find rest in Your arms. Amen.
