(Matthew 5:4) Father, comfort ___ amid this incredible loss. Although none of us can know exactly what ___ is currently experiencing right now, we do know, as Jesus said in His “Sermon on the Mount,” that You comfort those who mourn. In the deepest, darkest tragedies of this life, God, You are our ultimate comfort and peace. In transformational ways, Father, I ask You would comfort ___ in this time of grief and pain. Bring other people into ___’s path who can understand, empathize, and encourage them in this uniquely sad time. Father, I don’t have the perfect words for ___. Other friends and family may not always know what to say to them, but Father, You know ___—better than anyone. You created ___. They are Your precious child, and we know You won’t let Your children experience deep pain like this without being there with them. Comfort ___, God, and surround them with Your peace, love, rest, and hope. Amen.
