(Exodus 34:2) Yahweh, holy God, You are compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love and faithfulness. Yahweh, You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You love and care for Your creation. You take an intentional, invested role in our lives. You want what’s best for Your children, for Your sons and daughters. Thank You, Father, for Your holy, perfect, and everlasting identity and character. In light of who You are, Yahweh, I want to appeal to the first two traits You gave to Moses in Exodus 34—Your compassion and grace. Father, ___ needs Your compassion and grace right now. The Enemy is trying to weigh ___ down with the gravity of their sin, God, but we know You are so much greater and so much stronger. Take compassion on ___—lift this heavy weight off of their back. Free them from this bondage. And show ___ Your eternal, transformational, amazing grace. Despite our sin and brokenness, You still offer us life, and life to the full. Remind ___ of what You are offering them, free of charge, despite anything they have done, are doing, or will do in the future. Thank You for Your compassion and grace, Lord. Amen.
