(Joshua 1:9) Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving us pastors to shepherd Your church. I thank You for Pastor ___. I come in prayer to lift Pastor ___ up to You. Pastor ___ needs courage to preach and teach our congregation every week. Enable Pastor ___ to stand boldly on Your Word and proclaim its truths, even if it makes people uncomfortable. May Your Holy Spirit empower Pastor ___ to speak in love, seasoned with Your mercy and grace. I pray that Pastor ___ will not be afraid to be transparent, genuine, and real with our congregation. I pray that Pastor ___ will cry out to You daily, depending totally on Your strength and not self-strength to do the task You have called a pastor to do. Please, Father, give Pastor ___ confidence that You are able to do whatever is needed through Pastor ___ to accomplish Your plans. May Pastor ___ stay humble before the cross of Christ, knowing that You are always there, never to leave us, nor forsake us. Thank You for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
