(Proverbs 30:7-9) Father, thank You for the countless examples in Your Word of provision for Your people. Thank You for the example of how You provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness. Thank You for the story of Your provision of the Promised Land for Your people. And thank You, above all, for the provision of Your Son, Jesus, to rescue us from our own sin and brokenness. Because of these countless stories and examples—and because of our own experience with Your goodness and provision—we can be confident in praying the Lord’s Prayer: “Give us today our daily bread.” In light of that, Father, I ask that You give ___ their daily bread today. Provide ___ with exactly what they need—no more, no less—and exactly when they need it. Through Your Spirit, give ___ complete, unwavering confidence in Your provision. Help them not to worry about what they might not have in the future and to, instead, rest in what You’ve given them in the present. Give ___ a deep, satisfying, fulfilling contentment in You and You alone. Amen.
