(Proverbs 19:11) The Great Forgiver, growing up so closely with siblings can bring tremendous blessing and tough tension. Knowing each other so intimately and having insight into one another’s backgrounds, we can be tempted to use this knowledge against each other. Help ___ and I guard our tongues to speak with understanding and love. I pray for Your direction to keep You at the center when adversity arises between us. Give us patience and mercy for one another when we fail to hold our tongues. I pray for the strength to forgive and forget, believing the best in each other. May we have soft hearts towards one another. Father, help us to remember these are the lifelong friends who You’ve chosen for us to walk with. Allow us to see each other through Your eyes. When we have no words, lead us to seek Your face for understanding, giving us the grace to reconcile any offense. Thank You for the many times my sibling(s) has overlooked my shortcomings and forgiven me. I ask for an abundance of love for one another as we weather any hardship together. Amen.
