(Psalm 16:11) Father, thank You that the season of labor is over for ___. You have work for them yet to do, but they have completed their years of labor by society’s standards. May this next season be even more fulling than all of their years of work combined. When the question arises “what are you going to do after retirement?”, may ___ confidently respond and say “my days will be spent enjoying my Father”. I pray ___ begins to walk in a fullness of life they have never experienced. Fill their days with the fullness of Your presence, Your joy, and Your pride in them like they have never felt before. May their fullness and love for life illuminate every room they enter. Bring to remembrance their child-like wonder. May they marvel at the things they missed during their busy schedule. I pray this is a time for them to slow down to reminisce on a life well lived and find they have much more to discover! Amen.
