(1 Peter 4:10) Father, You have blessed each one of us specifically and uniquely. You are an intelligent Creator—you don’t automate Your creation, and You don’t make mistakes in Your design. According to Your will and specific purpose, You’ve blessed each one of Your sons and daughters with unique gifts (encouragement, teaching, empathy, leadership, service, etc.), and one of the many gifts with which You’ve blessed ___ is athletic ability. In Your grace and love, You’ve given ___ a healthy body, an intelligent mind, and a determination to work hard toward their athletic goals. In Your design, Father, You’ve made it possibly for ___ to play their sport at a high level. Thank You for that awesome gift, Lord. In light of that, I ask You to remind ___ of this truth—that their ability is not a right or something they own, but a gift from You. Show ___ the purpose and intentionality behind this gift, and equip them with the courage to steward it for Your glory and the good of those around them. May ___ use Your “good and perfect gifts” (James 1:17) to show others an example of Your grace, hope, and love. Thank You for ___, Lord. Amen.
