(Romans 8:38-39) Though our lives change, shift, and develop over the years, Father, one thing remains constant: we’re constantly in need of love. As human beings created in Your image, it’s in our nature to love and to be loved. As you told Your disciples, the world will know we are Your followers by our love for one another. Although Your perfect, eternal love provides everything we need, Father, we are still broken, imperfect human beings. We often forget and lose sight of Your love for us. We search for it in places where it can’t be found. This is a dilemma ___ has faced already and will continue to face in this next stage of life. Different things, different activities, different people will offer and promise love to ___ that only You can offer. The Enemy will try to convince ___ that satisfaction and fulfillment can be found elsewhere, but we know that Your love alone prevails. In those moments of temptation and of unmet expectations, Father, remind ___ of Your inseparable love. Remind them that You and Your love are always with them. No matter what they do, no matter how many mistakes they might make, no matter where they may look for Your love, it will always be with them. Thank You for this profound and beautiful truth, Father. Use it to empower ___ to serve You in this next stage of life and beyond. Amen.
