(Philippians 1:6) You are not a temporary God, Yahweh. You are not a Creator who sets things in motion and then abandons His creation. You are not a distant Lord who leaves us to navigate life on our own, to fend for ourselves. No, Father, You are a God who finishes His work. You are a God of finality, and You have the final word in our lives and in the future of the heavens and the earth. Just as You will one day return to Earth and finish the work You started, Lord, we know You also will finish the work in our lives, of transforming us into the image of Your Son, Jesus. Father, I ask You to make that truth evident and clear to ___ this week. Encourage ___ and remind them that even though there are many things we don’t understand, and many things in this broken world that still affect us, You are not done with them. You are not done with ___’s life. You haven’t left ___ alone. You will finish Your work in shaping ___ more and more into the perfect image of Your Son. In this stage of learning, Lord, empower ___ to rest in that truth through Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
