(Philippians 1:6) I love the confidence Your servant Paul exudes in his initial greeting to the Church in Philippi: “I’m fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process…” Lord, if anyone had the credibility to write these words, it was Paul—the man who completely turned his life around after an encounter with You. The man who turned 180 degrees—from persecuting Your people to spreading Your gospel. Paul knew—as You know, Yahweh—that when You start a work in us, You will finish it. You are not a God who quits or gives up, but a Savior who perseveres, endures, and unconditionally loves—despite our sin and brokenness. God, I know You have started a work in ___. I see the evidence of it in their life. Thank You for that, Father! Praise You for Your loving, gracious hand in ___’s life! In light of that, Lord, and in light of Your good character, I ask You to continue this process within ___ and keep maturing them into deeper relationship with You until the day You return. Show ___ clear examples of how You’re working—don’t let them forget that You are with them and that You love them. Amen.
