(Psalm 34:18) Like a good earthly father who wants the best for his children—who wants to help them, protect them, and support them—so You, Yahweh, desire to sustain us. As a good earthly father is always ready to step in and provide whatever his children need, so You, Father, wait for us—“ready to restore” us when we turn to You. God, ___ is turning to You right now. They need You, Lord. They need Your presence, Your power, and Your nearness. As the Psalmist says in Psalm 34, You are close to ___, as their hurt is crushed by this present pain. You are ready to comfort, provide, and restore ___ back to the fullness of life You offer to all those who trust in You. In light of that, God, I ask You to restore ___. Bring them out of this darkness, out of this pain, and surround them with Your supernatural, satisfying comfort. Because of who You are, Yahweh, be near to ___ this week. Amen.
