(Deuteronomy 7:8-9) Yahweh, You are not a God who wavers. You are not a Creator who is inconsistent or unreliable, or who over-promises and under-delivers. In fact, the opposite couldn’t be more true. You are the definition of reliability, consistency, and faithfulness. Every word that leaves Your mouth comes to fruition. All Your promises are good and true. You freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. You parted the Red Sea. You led Your people through the desert and into the Promised Land. You sent Your Son, Jesus, to redeem a broken world. You are the “faithful God, keeping [Your] covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love [You] and keep [Your] commandments.” And Father, we know the plans You have for ___, even in this difficult season of life. Despite the fear and loneliness, You have still promised to sustain them, to protect them and to provide everything they need. ___ loves You and trusts You, God, and because of that, You promise to work for their good (Romans 8:28). Show ___ Your faithfulness today, Father. Remind them of Your reliability, Your trustworthiness. Fill ___ with confidence and trust, through Your Holy Spirit, knowing You can and will give them everything they need for a life of hope, love, joy, and peace—even while their spouse serves our country. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord God. Amen.
