(Psalm 145:14) Yahweh, You have a unique and special care for those hurting and burdened—for the “weak and feeble ones” and those “bent over with burdens of shame.” In Matthew 9:36, when You “saw the crowds, [You] had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” It is in Your loving character to protect, guide, and sustain the helpless, burdened, and brokenhearted. It is in Your perfect nature to lift up those who have been cast down by their sin, shame, and despair. Lord, we know we can have great hope because even when we’re in our darkest, deepest pit, You can and You will still lift us up. All we need is to look to You. Father, in light of this, I ask You to lift ___ out of their darkness. Pull them from their pit of despair. Replace their darkness with light and their crying with rejoicing, God. Give ___ a vision of Your kingdom, of what is already true because of Jesus’ work on the cross. Lord, through Your Holy Spirit, bless ___ with a reason to live, a reason to hope, and a reason to love. Father, lift them up and sustain them. In Your compassion, grace, and love, be there for Your child, ___. Thank You for Your incredible promises, God. Amen.
He Will Lift You Up
