(1 Peter 5:6-7) God, thank You for the home You have provided for ___ and their child(ren). Continue to show them how You are their portion and provision through Your tender care for their every need. It can be a heavy load to care for child(ren) and a household as a single parent. In the moments when the weight causes them to slow and bow low, surround them and fill their home with Your presence. In their bowing, give them the strength to open their mouth to share and surrender their worries and stress with You. You care about the things which weigh on Your children’s hearts, both big or small. You will never leave them to figure out the details on their own. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, You will “screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trails you face so that you can bear it.” As ___ rises with renewed strength, I pray they feel the support of You not only carrying their burden, but carrying them. The splendor of Your love returns in the surrendering. You are their ever-present partner and head of their household. Amen.
