(Galatians 6:2-3) You are a loving and intentional Creator, Yahweh. We are not Your puppets, Lord, but rather, You’ve made us in Your image—with free will, with the ability to make decisions to love, to hate, to lift up, or to tear down. Amid that opportunity and ability to choose, You’ve also given us a Helper, Your Holy Spirit, to equip and empower us to follow Your will. Beyond that, You’ve given us each other. You’ve surrounded each of Your children with a “great cloud of witnesses” to support, encourage and bear the burdens of their brothers and sisters in Christ. You created us for community, Father. When those elements are put together—free will, Your Holy Spirit and community—a beautiful thing happens. In community, we make each other better. United in You and Your truth, we do so much more than we could ever accomplish alone. Father, surround ___ with a community of believers. Put people in ___’s life, in their path, to show them Your truth, to encourage them and to help carry their burdens. Remind ___ that they are not alone. You are with them, and Your people are with them. Humble those around ___ to see their struggles, to recognize their pain, and equip them to “carry [their] troubles” that ___ might see Your grace, Your love, and Your hope once again.
