(Mark 9:23-24) Yahweh, throughout the story of the Bible, a common thread that runs between all of Your disciples is faith. In the midst of pain, hardship, doubt, and uncertainty, what often characterizes and defines Your children is there enduring, steadfast faith. As Your Word also explains, though, Father, our faith does not come from ourselves, but from Your Holy Spirit who lives within us—that same Spirit who lives within Your servant, ___. Like the father in the story from Mark 9—and like all of us who follow You in this broken world—___ needs help overcoming their unbelief right now. Although they want to trust You and follow Your voice, Father, right now, ___’s fears and doubts are speaking the loudest inside of their mind. In their own power, ___ is struggling to hear Your voice. Lord, through Your Holy Spirit living inside of ___, I ask You to help them with their unbelief. In the powerful name of Jesus, silence those voices of fear, doubt, and uncertainty in ___’s mind. Reassure them of the truth painted throughout the gospel—the same truth Jesus told this father in Mark 9: “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Amen.
