(Psalm 34:8) Father God, You are so incredibly and overwhelmingly good! Too often, we find ourselves deceived by the lies that “Christianity is just a set of rules” or “God doesn’t want us to have any fun,” but as You know, Lord, that couldn’t be farther from the truth! Although the world promises joy and pleasure, it has nothing to offer except emptiness and disappointment. Only in You, Father, can we experience true joy, true pleasure, and true delight. In love, that is what You want for Your children. That is what You call us to every day! Thank You for that beautiful, transformational truth, Lord. As You know, ___ is Your dedicated disciple. For many years, ___ has committed their life, decision-making, and goals to serving and loving You. Despite that, Lord, in this season, ___ is struggling to find joy, pleasure, and delight in their pursuits. Right now, their fears and doubts have taken prominence in their mind. We know those things aren’t from You, Lord, and because of that, I ask You to fill ___’s heart, mind, and soul with Your permeating joy. Through Your Holy Spirit, empower ___ to “taste and see that You are good.” Equip them to “drink deeply” of Your pleasures and experience Your “joyous mercies.” Surround ___ with the joy that only comes from You, Father.
