(Proverbs 27:17) No person is an island, Father. You create us for relationship—not just with You, our heavenly Father, but with other human beings. In Your grace and love, You give us friends, family, co-workers, classmates, teammates, and others to strengthen, encourage, empower, and support us. You don’t leave us alone. As Your sons and daughters, we have a new family—the body of believers—to help us on our journey of faith. This is an encouraging and especially important truth for Your servant, ___, right now, Lord. As they enter this next stage of life, it’s all the more important they are surrounded with brothers and sisters who can sharpen them with Your truth, Your Word, and Your love, like Proverbs 27 talks about. In light of that, Lord, I ask that You put those people in ___’s path. In their classes, in their dorm room, in their activities, give ___ opportunities to connect with others, build relationships, and be strengthened by other believers. Surround ___ with people of character, people who love You, and people that are striving to become more like Your Son, Jesus. Amen.
