(Ecclesiastes 3:1) Lord, to everything there is a season. Life has its season; death has its season. Yet, we never want to feel the loss of a loved one, nor go through this season of grief, anguish, pain, suffering, disconnection, emptiness, and so on. Too many emotions. Too much to bear. Oh my God, where are thou during our time of weakness? ___ needs Thee, to hold them up, to lift their spirit, and to intercede on their behalf. Their loved one has gone on and left them behind, feeling alone and in despair. Even with family and friends surrounding ___, their heart may feel as if it has been ripped to shreds. Hear my prayers for ___; hear one’s cries; hear the tremble in one’s voice. As the sun is to the day and the moon is to the night, we know the power of life and death lies in Your hand. Help ___ to bear the loss, but resting in the knowledge that their loved one is in a better place. No more suffering, no more pain, no more loneliness, no more illness, but in Christ, they are being loved on, cared for, able to walk around freely, rejoicing and jumping for joy in the gardens of beauty, surrounded by the pearly gates. They are enjoying a new life in a new body with pleasantry all around. Oh, to one day be able to rejoice with them! As ___ struggles through their loss, for it is real, give them the peace and comfort they need to endure until this season passes. There will be joy on the other side! Amen.
