(Psalm 92:2) Loving Father, thank You for Your kindness and gentleness. Even when we stumble and fall in this life, You are there to pick us up. We are thankful for Your example as a perfect parent and Your Word to give us direction. You do not expect perfection from Your children, but love us through every lesson we learn in this life. I pray (parents) do not expect perfection from themselves. Help them give themselves and each other grace when kindness is not their first response. In our humanity, we make mistakes and react in ways we wish we wouldn’t in the heat of the moment. When these moments arise, I pray they use them as a tool to teach their children a lesson. Grace them with the gift of humility and vulnerability as they admit what they did wrong and ask for forgiveness. Draw the family closer together in these moments. Father, teach (parents) to give their best and let You take care of the rest. Amen.
