(Psalm 13:4-6) God, we know that grief is a complicated process. It’s not always liner or straightforward, and it doesn’t always make sense. Sometimes, we process through it quickly; other times, it takes much longer than we want or expect. In all of this, we trust in You. Father, in the midst of their grief, I ask that You come alongside ___ in this process. Provide insight and emotional awareness for ___ that they might address their pain in a healthy, beneficial way. Although we all need time and space to feel deep sadness, I ask that, in Your timing, You ultimately bring ___ out of the sadness. Show ___ the light at the end of tunnel while reminding them that it’s normal and healthy to grieve. Through Your Holy Spirit, empower ___ to take steps, little by little, toward acceptance and healthy processing. Give ___ the time they need to go through each individual stage and fill them with Your presence throughout all of it. Amen.
