(2 John 1:1-2) Lord, thank You for the incredible gift of Your Son, Jesus. In Your great love, Father, You sent Jesus to this earth, to become a man and experience all the suffering, temptations, and trials we face in this life, that we might have a way to restored relationship with You. What an incredible, transformational picture of true, deep love. Thank You, God. And not only that, but I thank You and praise You that Jesus’ work didn’t end on the cross—or even with the glorious resurrection. In Your love and grace, You’ve given Jesus an active role as our Advocate—sitting at Your right hand and standing in-between our brokenness and Your holiness. Jesus, I ask You to advocate for ___ right now. In light of their sin and brokenness—and in light of Your perfect, loving sacrifice—reconcile ___ with Your Father. Restore the relationship, the loving relationship, between Creator and creation. Amid this reconciliation, fill ___ with confidence in Your care for them. Give ___ peace and rest, despite their sin, knowing full well that You have already paid the price of our sin in full. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
