(John 10:14-15) Yahweh, as a shepherd knows his sheep and leads them into safety and security, so You, the Good Shepherd, know Your sons and daughters and lead us “through green pastures” and “beside quiet waters.” As John said in his Gospel, You are “ready to give [Your] life for the sheep”—and You did through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Father, I can’t think of a more perfect or beautiful picture of love. What an amazing, encouraging reality that You’ve given all those who trust You. Thank You for that, Lord. Father, You know that ___’s heart is Yours. Even though they’re feeling misunderstood and judged by those around them, You know what’s truly underneath the surface. You can see into ___’s mind and soul. You know their thoughts and every desire of their heart. As their Good Shepherd, Lord, lead ___ into safety and security. Show ___ peace, rest, mercy, and love. Let ___ dance with joy and hope, knowing that they are loved by the Creator of the Universe. You are enough for ___, Father. Remind them of that amazing truth right now. Amen.
