(Matthew 11:28-30) Yahweh, as You know, life throws many “heavy burdens” at us—day in and day out. Every morning, it seems, there’s something new to be worried about—finances, sickness, death, job loss. When we try to rely on ourselves to carry these burdens—to provide for ourselves everything we need—we end up exhausted, burnt out, and frustrated. This isn’t the life to which You called us; this isn’t the hope, joy, and peace You promised to all those who trust in You. Father, You tell ___ that if they “come to You, You will refresh their life.” You are ___’s oasis. Lord, empower ___, through Your Holy Spirit, to join their life with Yours, to learn Your ways. In their obedience, God, show ___ Your character—that You’re humble, gentle, and easy to please. That You’re free from guilt and condemnation and full of rest and refreshment. Father, I ask You to lift the heavy burdens off of ___’s shoulders and replace them with Your goodness and love that is “pleasant and easy to bear.” Provide an oasis for ___ today, Lord. Amen.
