(Romans 5:1-2) Father God, ___ is in the middle of a new trial in their life. As you know, their spouse, ___, is about to begin a journey in service to their country as an active duty military member. And while this is most certainly a time of uncertainty and unknown for ___, as they venture away from home, we know this is also a time of potential anxiety, fear, and loneliness for ___, as they stay home. Lord, in these times of uncertainty and chaos, it’s easy for us, as broken human beings, to lose sight of the good and the true. It’s easy for us to give up hope and give in to our fears, doubts, and anxiety. Yet, despite this temptation, God, we know what is still true: Your mercy, Your grace, and Your love. For all those who trust in You, as ___ does, Lord, You justify and, because of that, You give “peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Not only that, but—even in the most difficult of circumstances, like ___ faces now, Lord—You provide us with “the hope of the glory of God.” So, Father, in light of these truths, I ask You to fill ___ with that hope and that peace. Speak louder than the fear. Break through the anxiety. Overcome the doubt, Lord. Remind ___ of what is good and true in their life, because of You. Amen.
