(Psalm 44:5) Father, I pray against post-traumatic stress disorder and pray for Your power to satisfy their distress. When ___ experiences trauma in service of their country and Your kingdom, reveal to them the Heavenly perspective and reasoning. Open the eyes of their heart to see the world through Your eyes, with an eternal perspective. Give them the gift of peace and the ability to place the weight of trauma at Your feet. I pray they are able to process in the present and they do not have deferred emotions compounding for them to process at a later date. Father, instead of PTSD, give ___ post-joy, post-happiness, and post-love when they return home. Give them dreams in the night and dreams in their heart to hold on to and return home to fulfill. I pray they are able to rest and live their civilian life in peace, completely present with You, themselves, and their loved ones. No matter what the days ahead may hold, ___ can be confident You won’t leave their side. Amen.
