(John 15:13) Father, it is a beautiful act of love when someone answers the call to serve in the military. They fully know it may cost them their life or the lives of those they serve alongside. They commit to this calling knowing loss will more than likely be a part of their story. Thank You for ___’s demonstration of love in risking their lives for others. I humbly thank You for bringing ___ home alive. I join ___ in praying for the family and friends of those who’ve lost loved ones in service. We honor their sacrifice and the ultimate gift they gave, their life. I ask You to touch the places in ___’s heart that grieve for the friends who did not return home. Protect their mind from being tormented by survivor’s guilt or thoughts not from You, Father. Help them honor the fellow soldiers they’ve lost by living their life to the fullest. Thank You for Your Son who showed us all the greatest act of love by dying for our sins and raising to life again, giving us the gift of salvation. Father, thank You for the hope of eternal life. Oh, what a day of rejoicing it will be when the military reunion takes place in Heaven! Amen.
