(Philippians 4:6-7) Lord, now more than ever, we are faced with daily doses of anxiety. In an age of information—where opportunity and opinion abound from website to website—we are forced into endless amounts of decisions, every minute. Should I do this or that? Am I using my time as well as I could be? My friend is doing this, is that what I should be doing? Social media and a culture of comparison have partnered with the Enemy to drive up our anxiety levels and isolate us from You and Your truth. I know ___ is experiencing a lot of that right now, Father. In light of that, I ask You to fill ___’s heart with “overflowing gratitude” for You, Your grace, and Your love. Give ___ confidence in their true identity—their identity as Your child, as Your image-bearer. Father, show ___ that, in You, there is safety and freedom to tell You every detail of our lives. And in that, give ___ access to Your “wonderful peace that transcends human understanding.” Thank You for saving us from our anxiety. Amen.
