(Isaiah 41:10) Yahweh, we live in a world of fear. You know this. Although the world You created was perfect and “good,” as You declared it, because of sin, we now face a variety of fears on a daily basis. We fear for our jobs, for our relationships, for our health, for our peace of mind. Instead of living in the present—content in the here and now—we often travel, in our minds, to the future, worrying about what we “might not have” down the road. When we give into this fear, we are crippled—bound to our darkness and pain—but You tell us a different story. You speak a story of freedom and hope into our lives. You say to us, “Do not yield to fear, for I am always near.” Father, speak that message to Your child, ___, right now. Through Your Holy Spirit, empower ___ to fix their gaze on You, to never turn away. Infuse ___ with Your strength and help them in every situation. Hold ___ firmly in Your right hand, Lord God. Thank You for saving us from our fears. Amen.
