(2 Corinthians 3:4-5) Father, one of the most common lies the Enemy tells us is, “You’re not good enough.” Stacked up against Satan, the world, and our human tendency to condemn ourselves, we’re constantly faced with our own limitations, flaws, and sense of inadequacy. As created beings, naturally, there are so many things outside of our control—so many circumstances that remind us that we can’t always provide happiness, contentment, and peace for ourselves—but in Christ, that doesn’t matter. When we trust in You, as Paul writes, we are united to You through Jesus. Though, by ourselves, we might truly be inadequate and incapable, in You, “our true competence flows from [Your] empowering presence.” You save us from our shortcomings. You are the solution for our inadequacy. In light of that, Father, I ask You to work in ___’s life in such a way that shows them Your power despite their own weaknesses. Give ___ a confidence in their heart that comes from their trust in You and union with You through Jesus. Combat the Enemy’s lies that tells ___ they’re “not good enough.” Speak Your powerful truth and Your saving grace into ___’s heart, mind, and soul today. Thank You for saving us from our own inadequacy. Amen.
