(1 Timothy 4:12) As You know, Lord God, Your child, ___, is a natural-born leader. As they’ve grown and developed, You’ve made it clear to me and those around ___ that You’ve equipped them with the gifts, talents, and abilities to lead others. Father, this is such a unique and beautiful gift—and a powerful gift as well. As You know, leaders have incredible amounts of influence on other people—for good or for evil—and have the potential to change the course of others’ lives. In light of that, Father, I ask You to equip ___ to use their leadership abilities for the good of others and for Your glory. Empower ___ to set an example in what they say, what they do, and how they love other people. May their classmates, their teammates, even their teachers look to ___ and say, “They are setting a positive example for those around them.” And even though ___ is young, God, don’t let them become discouraged. Instead, give ___ confidence in what You’ve taught them and how You’ve worked in their life. Overcome any fear in ___’s mind and provide the courage they need to lead others in Your truth—in this year and beyond. Amen.
