(Colossians 3:1-2) ___ has their whole life before them, Father. They have followed in Your footsteps and obeyed Your commands through elementary school and high school, and now, You are launching them out into the world. You are sending them into a new stage of discipleship and relationship with You—one that I know has incredible potential to deepen ___’s faith and trust in You. Thank You for how You’ve guided and directed ___’s life to this point, and for this opportunity to grow and mature as a follower of You. As ___ takes their first steps on this new journey, I ask that You set their eyes on You and on “all that is above,” like Paul talks about in Colossians 3. In a new season that will inevitably be filled with potential distractions, temptations, and obstacles, empower ___ to rise above the noise and attacks of the Enemy and to fix their eyes “on all the treasure of the heavenly realm.” Remind ___ of Your truth, Your promises, and above all, Your love. May Your character transform ___ and grow them into an even more mature disciple of You, Father. Amen.
