(Philippians 1:3-6) Father God, I feel right now what I believe Paul felt in writing his letter to the church in Philippi. When I think about my friend, ___, I am filled with an overwhelming joy and gratitude for “our union and our enduring partnership.” Lord, You have written and orchestrated the deep relationship between ___ and me. You are the author of this friendship for which I am so eternally grateful. In light of this gratitude, I want to lift up ___ to You in prayer. Bless them right now, Father. Through Your Spirit, let ___ know how meaningful their life and relationship are to me. Remind them that my thankfulness and love for them is just a taste of Your deep, eternal, ever-satisfying love for them. Thank You, Father, not only for my relationship with ___, but also for the joy, encouragement, and hope that relationship has provided. Like Paul prayed for the Philippians, I ask You would “continue the process of maturing [___] and…put [Your] finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!” Thank You, Father. Amen.
Thankfulness with Great Joy (Gratitude)
