(Romans 5:3-5) Lord, You reframe our lives and our circumstances. Because of the work Your Son, Jesus, did on the cross, on our behalf, all of our fears, disappointments, trials, and pain in this world are temporary and incomplete. Because of Your great love, Father, the trouble and frustration aren’t the end of the story. Because of Your goodness, we can meet our times of trouble with a “joyful confidence,” knowing what is to come. God, I ask that You give ___ a vision of that bright, hopeful future. In the midst of their frustration, create a patient endurance in them that moves forward with confidence, joy, and hope. And use that endurance, Lord, through Your Spirit, to shape and refine ___’s character even more into the image of Your Son, Jesus. And from that character, fill ___ with a transforming, overwhelming sense of hope in what You have done, are doing, and will do—both in their lives and the lives of all of Your children. Surround ___ with that supernatural, everlasting endurance, character, hope, and love. Amen.
