(Matthew 6:12) Father, as ___’s heart and emotions are being tossed and turned by the waves of this breakup, may Your presence be the place they come to steady themselves. You are always steady and ready to receive us with open arms. No problem we bring to You is too big or too small because You care for them all. Thank You that we can lay our pain at Your feet and receive an exchange. You give us beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise in our heaviness. Help ___ lay this pain at Your feet, Father. I pray they do not carry this pain with them, but chose to lay it down and forgive. Give them the grace to forgive and the self-acceptance to be forgiven. As they show this grace, reveal to them the gifts of forgiveness. Although this is not the outcome they hoped for, I pray neither of them hold on to hard feelings, but are able to be kindhearted toward one another. May both parties find the freedom that forgiveness brings. Amen.
