(Hebrews 4:10) Father, rest is a beautiful gift we receive from You. It is a gift You gave Yourself after creating the Heavens and the earth. You rested after all of Your work. Many times in the Scriptures, You reveal to us that Jesus often rested while He was here on earth. The rest would rejuvenate Jesus and He would go out and perform more miracles. Surely if Father God and the Son of Man value rest, You want us to as well. Thank You for the strength, perseverance, and endurance ___ has shown in all they’ve accomplished. Help them to give themselves permission to enter into the gift of rest. May any striving to win Your affection and approval through works be laid to rest. Calm their anxieties and any frets about their future. You have always made a way, and You will continue to do so all of their days. Allow this time of rest to rejuvenate their soul and renew their strength. Amen.
