(Matthew 20:16) During Your time on this earth, Lord Jesus, You made it very clear: things in Your Kingdom do not work like they do on this earth. That’s why You told Your disciples to pray, “your kingdom come…on earth as it is in heaven.” On earth, the strong often prey on the weak; the powerful wield their power to manipulate the powerless. But in Your Kingdom, Father, the weak are made strong, and the last will be first. You came to “seek and save the lost.” In Your family, every last person—regardless of whether or not society accepts them or celebrates them—has a place. As You know, Father, the world has made ___ to feel like they’re last right now. ___’s current circumstances have told them the message, “You’re not good enough” and “You’re unworthy.” But You tell ___ a different story, a different message. You say to them, “You are mine.” You tell them, “You are loved.” In a still, small voice, You whisper to ___, “You are beautiful.” Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, speak louder than the lies of this world to ___. May they be defined by their identity in You and Your plan for their life, not by anything the world says. Thank You for telling us a different story, Lord. Amen.
