(Revelation 21:4) Lord God, what a beautiful picture You’ve given us in Revelation of everything that’s on the horizon for those who put their trust in You! In Your love, mercy, and grace, You’ve given us an incredibly powerful hope, knowing that a day is coming when You will make everything new. Every tear will be wiped away. Death will be no more. All pain, mourning, and suffering will cease to exist. Although that’s a powerful picture, Father, it’s easy for us to lose sight of what’s coming in light of our current circumstances. In my own brokenness, I often struggle to see anything more than what’s directly in front of me. And if that current reality is filled with difficulty, pain, and obstacles, I often forget about the hope on the horizon. Lord, I ask that would not be the case with Your child, ___. Instead of giving into their circumstances, Father, empower ___ to see beyond, to embrace Your perspective of the hope, joy, and everlasting peace You have promised. Regardless of what’s going on around them, God, I ask You to give ___ exactly what they need to rest in Your goodness and love today. Amen.
