(2 Timothy 1:6-7) In this world, we will face trials. We know that to be true, Father, because Your Son, Jesus, told that to His disciples. It’s a difficult message, but it’s also a hopeful one. It’s hopeful because of how it ends: “But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Because of Your Holy Spirit living within us, we have access to a resurrection power stronger than any trial we may face on this earth. Like it says in 2 Timothy 1:6-7, You haven’t given us a spirit of fear, but one of “mighty power, love, and self-control.” Thank You for that incredible truth, Father. Empower ___ with that same power and that same Spirit. Fill ___ with hope in You, Your character, and Your promises. Grant ___ the boldness and strength to meet their trial with Your truth and overcome it in the name of Jesus. Work through Your Holy Spirit in ___’s life to show them just how weak and small this season is in comparison to Your never-ending strength and power. Amen.
