(Hebrews 13:8) Father God, likes the waves of the sea, our emotions, circumstances and day-to-day situations ebb and flow. In a world filled with variables such as fear, uncertainty, insecurity, and pain, nothing on this earth is consistent from one day to the next. Nothing remains constant. Without an anchor, Lord, we’re powerless against the waters of existence as a finite, limited human being. And amid this volatility and uncertainty, God, we often find ourselves doubting You—doubting Your goodness, Your power, and Your trustworthiness. This is where ___ is right now, Father. They are unsure—questioning everything around them and the work You’ve done in their life already. Lord God, amid that doubt—amid the shifting, changing nature of our lives on this side of heaven—I ask You to give ___ a supernatural assurance. Though ___’s circumstances and emotions may change, Father, You do not change. As the author of Hebrews wrote, You are the same—yesterday, today and forever. So, Lord, in line with Your character, fill ___’s heart and mind with that same unchanging, powerful steadfastness through Your Holy Spirit. In the shifting waters of their life, anchor ___ in Your goodness, Your love, and Your unchanging nature. Thank You, Father. Amen.
