(Philippians 4:11-13) Father, thank You for Your transformational work in Your servant, Paul, and for speaking through him in his letter to the Philippians. Thank You for completely changing Paul’s life and for giving us an example of the real, powerful transformation found in You. Because of Paul and his life dedicated to You, we’re given a picture of what true contentment looks like, regardless of our circumstances. In light of Paul’s example and the work of Your Holy Spirit, Father, I ask that You create a similar sense of contentment inside of ___’s heart. In the good times—the successes, joys and excitement—remind ___ that Your goodness, Your love, and Your hope is even greater and more fulfilling than anything this world can offer us. In the bad times—the failures, the disappointments and the heartbreak—be near to ___. Remind them that their hope and satisfaction is not found in this world or created things, but in You and Your work through Your Son, Jesus. In every circumstance, Father, fill ___ with Your wisdom, discernment, and hope. Through Your Spirit, speak to ___ and assure them of Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your love. Amen.
