(James 1:12) Jesus, thank You that this world is not the end of the story. Thank You for preparing a place and a treasure for us in the next life—a treasure that moth and rust can never destroy. Thank You that our light and momentary troubles are just that—light and momentary—and that they’re making way for something much greater, more satisfying and everlasting. Thank You for the gift of a bright, hopeful future to which we can look forward, Father. As ___ endures the trials and frustrations of this life and their current situation, God, I ask You would fill them with Your “untold blessings” that James talks about in James 1:12. Empower ___ and equip them with perseverance and strength that they might “pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!” I know ___ loves You, Father, and I know they want to follow after You with their life. In light of that, Lord—and in light of Your unending compassion, grace, and love—fill ___ with Your blessings and with the “true happiness” that is only found in You. Thank You for Your love, Father.
