(John 15:5) When You came to Earth, Lord Jesus, You didn’t call the powerful rulers, religious leaders or the elite in society to follow You. Instead, against all human expectation, You called the broken—the fishermen, the tax collectors, the “sinners.” As You told the Pharisees, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners” (Mark 2:17). While the world might see this as foolish, Father, we know it is absolutely intentional. You call the broken because You’re not calling us to rely on ourselves. You’re calling those willing to live in union with You, those willing to abide in the “sprouting vine.” The way to fruitful life—the only way to true productivity in this life and beyond—is looking to You, Father, as our ultimate source. You are the vine; we are the branches. So, Lord, as ___ wrestles with doubt, fear, and uncertainty, I ask You to remind them of Your power to sustain. Show ___ their true source of life. Encourage ___ in the reassuring truth that, even when we fail, we can still ultimately succeed when we live in union with You. When we follow after You and obey Your commands, we cannot fail. Surround ___ with Your power, grace, and love today, Lord, and solidify their spirit in Your truth. Amen.
