(Matthew 4:4) God, thank You for giving us Your Word, the Bible. Thank You for not leaving us on our own, to figure things out based only on our limited understanding and perspective. Not only did You send Your Holy Spirit to live within us, not only does Your creation proclaim Your goodness, but You also documented Your love and faithfulness to us, through human authors, in Scripture. Chapter after chapter tells us the same story: You love humanity, and You’ve set in motion a perfect plan to bring us into right relationship with You. And even when we stumble—even when we fail to hold up our end of the bargain—You remain faithful. Today, Lord, I ask You to bring to ___’s mind verses and stories from Scripture that exemplify Your faithfulness and love for them. Remind ___ of specific passages that uniquely connect with them and their life right now. In a way only You can, Father, speak to ___ through the intersection of Your Word and Your Holy Spirit. May ___ experience the “true life” You tell us is found in every word that comes from Your mouth. Amen.
