(Proverbs 3:5-6) Yahweh, You are a trustworthy God. In every area of our lives, You are consistent, reliable, and ever-present. There’s no corner or part of our lives about which You don’t care and in which You don’t invest. In Your eyes, Father, we know there’s no distinction between the “spiritual” and the “secular.” You don’t just ask us to trust You in church, in Christian community, or during “spiritual” conversations—You ask us to “become intimate with [You] in whatever [we] do.” Not only that, but You attach a promise to that command: You will lead us wherever we go. God, I know it might be easy for ___ to view their sport as “outside of the spiritual realm.” As we all have done, ___ might be tempted to believe that You don’t care or aren’t invested in their practices or games—but we know that’s not true. In light of that, Father, equip ___ to trust in You in everything they do—on the field, on the court, and everywhere in between. Remind ___ of Your faithfulness, consistency, and trustworthiness. Give ___ a peace that transcends all understanding, having full confidence in Your ability and willingness to lead them into goodness, truth, and light. Thank You that we can trust You completely, Father. Amen.
